Hallo,
I just got 2015 Accord exl. This is my 4th Honda. So I do have some knowledge of Honda vehicles. I was told on the drive test that exl and touring trim lines have same suspensions. So I drive touring and love it. I got exl to save money and suspension is not same. It is hard and I have a feeling that is bottoming out or it feels like that. My stomach is jumping up and down and I feel every hole and bump on the road. I would appreciate if anybody have the answer on this question: " IS SUSPENSION SAME ON 2015 ACCORD TOURING AND ACCORD EXL" I live in Ontario, Canada
Thank you very much for any info

Are you asking if the 4 Cylinder Touring and 4 cylinder EX-L have the same suspensions? The answer is yes, they are the same car minus Navi and headlamps.

One big difference is that the EX-L has 17" goodyear tires and the Touring has 18" Bridgestone tires.. so if anything the ride should be nicer in your EX-L.

Have you checked your air pressure, sounds like your tires are over inflated.

Don't the EX-L and Touring have the same 17inch rims?

And I think all the Accords have the same suspension and ride quality. And I know what you mean by the suspension feeling like it's bottoming out. It gets really rough on uneven roads.

Not in Canada. The Touring comes in I4 or V6 and has 18" wheels like the Sport.

I wonder if the V6 has some different suspension components that possibly make it ride a little better than the i4?

It is i-4 . If suspensions are same then there is something wrong with exl that I got.
Tire pressure is by the door sticker. Alignment done and four wheel balancing done yesterday at Honda dealer and drives little better bur harshness of suspension is same

Has a honda tech taken your car for a road test?

Typically they are different to accommodate the extra weight of the V6 motor... I test drove two V6 and I found them to be noticeably more stiffer and harsh over bumps.

Oh didn't see you were from Toronto. In the U.S., only the Sport got the 18 inch rims.

Yes, Honda tech was testing the car and told me that they did not feel any harshness of the suspension. I find that insulting and I will take that with Honda Canada.
Thank you all for quick replies.

For the record I ended up trading my 13 Accord EXL because of that same reason. I've driven Accords since 1984 and while they always rode on the firm side this one road like an ox cart on the side streets.

Personally I think the 8th gen Accord was moving into "old man car" territory and they went too far in the other direction with the 9th gen in an effort to make it seem more sporty.

Sadly though - we have nobody to blame but ourselves for not taking an extended test drive in the car.

One thing to note - *supposedly* the 2016's have a less harsh ride - perhaps you can drive one of those and work out a deal with your dealer if it is indeed any better.

Good luck!

See if they will allow you to drive another LX or EX-L to see if its any better. I drove 2 other demo Tourings home before I bought my car because I was concerned about the ride quality.

Nope. My EXL V6 came with 18" rims.
Nice, in that respect Canadians get the same... EXL V6 Navi is the only coupe to get 18" wheels identical to the sport.

That's only for the Touring trim on the 2016's, which have the highly prized dampers found in the Acura lines. The lesser models have the same old system.

My experience has taught me that, if you're going to buy an Accord sedan of any generation and you're picky about ride quality, you should plan on suspension upgrades. An Accord is a great basic platform ,,, for mods. IMHO they all need Koni shocks, 22mm RSB, Ultra Racing FSB and chassis compression.

Does anyone know the OEM spring rates? Planning to get some coilovers, I want to compare the difference between the two
