2023 Hybird any issues or problems

4199 Views 92 Replies 35 Participants Last post by  rdsOLDschool
I know it is early but wondered if anyone that got their 2023 Hybird is having any issues or problems? Folks here usual advise against first year of a new generation so checking to see if anything is popping up.

Thanks!

There's a recall on 2023 Accord Hybrids. It's listed as the "2023 Accord Hyb and CR-V Hybrid ECU Reset SW Emissions Recall" on my paperwork and my car is at my local dealer right now getting updated. Not sure if it's connected to the software update jkash99 listed above or not, but there you go!

Found over on the CRV forums... Notified about a "SW Emissions Recall" today

Nice, though it isn't showing up my car just yet. Update time of 230 minutes though, yikes.

I got the notification this morning when I got in my car that a software update was downloading (I assume from my connected iPhone or possibly the AT&T hotspot data trial?). It was fairly quick to download. When I got back home and turned off the car, I heard a voice and saw a message on the infotainment display saying something about the update will begin in two minutes and the car needs to remain off during the update - the estimated time of update was one minute. I sat in the car and let it do its thing - once it was done I powered the car back on, and saw an "Update Successful" message on screen. It was pretty true to that one minute estimate - I'd say I gave it about 3 minutes and it was all set.

However, YMMV.

I just had my hood adjusted and it closes properly now. I had the message on my dash that said UPDATE NOT AVAILABLE please see dealer. I think he said they did a factory reset and message is gone. He said it could return. Honda is working on a over the air fix and they would let me know when it is ready.

Ummm, I think it is ready as that is what people just posted above

I understand. I got back from the dealer before I saw the update above. Just reporting what my dealer told me.

Thank you JKash99.
My selling dealer stated that no update for error D015 yet. Also that there were no recalls for my VIN so no update to the ECU for the EFI?
I will see if I have a message on my info center when I return to my car in a short while.
Well Dummy (me) had all of the automatic updates /downloads/system updates disabled. so no update. But I think it tried because for a second or two, after I clicked on the ‘update error’ notification via the red circular dot that is always in the upper right corner, I saw that it said todays date May 16, 2023 and a time stamp. But that bit of info only lasted a second or two before it reverted back to the message of its’ last update of April 10, 2023 and timestamp.

I enable everything possible in hopes of getting another OTA update.
Does anybody happen to know how often our car will seek an update, or how often Honda will send an update to the system?

Not sure, but do you happen to have the hondalink app? You can try getting the update using that

I do have the HondaLink app and the free trial is activated. On a side note, I think I like it enough to pay for an additional year when the trial period is over.
I wonder how I could obtain an update through the app?

I just returned from the local dealer but no answers to my questions. Their suggestion was to keep the car connected to wifi as much as possible.
I saw ten 2023 Accords on the lot. Six of them were Lunar Grey
Found the remote system update in the HondaLink app. It’s under the Vehicle Profile tab.
I have no update(s) available, nor any update history
It’s probably rolled out much like updates for phones… not all at once but in batches
Yeah, I checked my app and there was no update available. Went to my car, and checked for update, and it started downloading.
Do you have to use AT&T for the hotspot or can you use any cell phone provider?
