I have a 7th gen and I need new tires. Typically it would be a 215/50/17 size but i'm wondering if there is any advantages of going to 225/50/17 and will it rub on turns. I am lowered on eibach pro kit springs at the moment.

No, you wont rub with the pro-kit and the 225 tires are wider and will give you a larger contact patch with the road. They also make the cars stance look a little better with wider tires.
