DashCam - Debating between Viofo A129 4k ($210) and other smaller 2k options. Update: went with the A139 2k ($190).

I don't know if this is already included but I'd throw in a hardwire kit. You're missing out on half the functionality without one. After I've had multiple incidents with damage occurring while I was parked, it was a no brainer for me.

I ended up adding the hardwire kit to my VIOFO order for $16 but didn't realize it's shipping from China. It's going to take a while to get here. Hopefully no accidents happen before it arrives.

That's unfortunate. I bought everything from Amazon so I got it all fairly quickly.

You'll also want the general stuff needed to install the hardwire kit, like a multimeter, fuse taps, and a set of fuses. Don't make the mistake I did, get the right type of fuse tap for the fuses in yours. I don't know if it's the same as mine, but mine was Mini-LowProfile fuses.

I was going to order off Amazon but it was more expensive there. I guess they were running a promotion on VIOFO.com that didn't carry over to their store on Amazon.

I noticed when I bought it that the advertised price on Amazon was higher than the actual price. There was a little checkbox to apply a discount that wasn't reflected on the price shown, but it was reflected when I went to checkout.
