Just wondering what other people are buying for their new Accord. Figured I'd start another thread so we can share with each other. Maybe people find cool things that other folks will want to know about.
On my list so far:
Dashcam Edit: After doing a bunch of research, it appears that 4k is a waste of money. 2k at 30FPS is the gold standard for dash cams and captures everything you need in case of an accident. No dashcam will capture license plates of moving vehicles and many people modify a 2nd cam to have a zoom lens to combine footage with the standard dash cam and ain't nobody got time for that. The A139 comes with a built in CPL filter, doesn't have an LCD so it can be mounted more stealthily, and has voice notifications. I know the app sucks but I can just pull the sd card out like I've been doing to grab videos if needed.
On my list so far:
- Ceramic Tint - $425 for 35% on side/rear windows + sunroof. $225 for 70% on windshield. Appointment Tuesday.
- Ceramic Coat - $550 for One Step Correction Polish/ Prep. $650 for Sb3 Alpha 5 Year Ceramic Coating. Appointment Tuesday.
- WeatherTech Floor Mats - Waiting on them to be available - 2023 Honda Accord Floor Mats - Laser measured Floor Mats For Perfect Fit | WeatherTech - Around $200
- WeatherTech Phone Holder - Universal Portable Cell Phone Holder - CupFone | WeatherTech - $37
- Coiled Lightning Cable - So I can be connected with Bluetooth and Carplay simultaneously - https://a.co/d/1v25ZCr - $14
- 14" Screen Protector - I plan on cutting this to fit the screen which is about 12" x 4.8" - https://a.co/d/98LggMC - $9
- DashCam - Debating between Viofo A129 4k ($210) and other smaller 2k options. Update: went with the A139 2k ($190).
- Comma Three OpenPilot - No details on 2023 support yet (kind of expensive if it doesn't allow full self drive) - comma three — make driving chill - $1500
