Just wondering what other people are buying for their new Accord. Figured I'd start another thread so we can share with each other. Maybe people find cool things that other folks will want to know about.

On my list so far:
Does anyone know if there are any universal center console organizers that will fit the 2023? It looks much different than the 10th gen so those won't work.

Dashcam Edit: After doing a bunch of research, it appears that 4k is a waste of money. 2k at 30FPS is the gold standard for dash cams and captures everything you need in case of an accident. No dashcam will capture license plates of moving vehicles and many people modify a 2nd cam to have a zoom lens to combine footage with the standard dash cam and ain't nobody got time for that. The A139 comes with a built in CPL filter, doesn't have an LCD so it can be mounted more stealthily, and has voice notifications. I know the app sucks but I can just pull the sd card out like I've been doing to grab videos if needed.

OP why do you need a cellphone holder just curious. What I've found on my new Pilot is that now that I can wirelessly connect to Android Auto I am not really needing to "see" my phone anymore so I can just set it on the console near the wireless charger
I have a company iPhone and get text messages, teams messages, and emails from work 24/7. I have to be able to quickly glance at who the sender is and if it's someone of importance, pull over, and respond to whatever IT emergency is happening. In my old vehicle, I had a Ram Mount screwed into the dashboard so my phone was always at eye level right below the rear view mirror so I could easily see the phone screen without taking my eyes off the road.

The Bluetooth connection between the car and my phone doesn't show any messages/notifications. The salesman said I had to use Carplay for that but I haven't really played with Carplay before. I don't know if the notifications will appear on the screen or be read to me if I'm not using the Smartphone Projection app on the infotainment. I don't have a USBc lightning cable so I can't really test how wired carplay + Bluetooth works until I order one.

Got it

On my new Pilot and Android Auto any text I get on my phone shows up in the upper corner and I can click on it or have the system read it to me too. All this tech is new to me as I haven't bought a new car in 9 years
I found that there was a toggle on my phone I needed to hit. Now the messages do show up over Bluetooth in the notification area and I can tap it or have Google Assistant read it for me so that's definitely a plus. It doesn't do emails or teams messages but at least I can quickly access texts now. I ended up getting a suction cup for my RAM mount and will see how it does on the windshield of the Accord. I think it's going to be too big and obscure my vision though but won't know until it's mounted. I'll post pics of how it looks.

I don't know if this is already included but I'd throw in a hardwire kit. You're missing out on half the functionality without one. After I've had multiple incidents with damage occurring while I was parked, it was a no brainer for me.
I ended up adding the hardwire kit to my VIOFO order for $16 but didn't realize it's shipping from China. It's going to take a while to get here. Hopefully no accidents happen before it arrives.

I find my Apple watch works well for easy notifications, you still have to divert your eyes from the road briefly but do not have to grab or pick up, or open phone..
I've been so opposed to getting one of those but I fear it's inevitable. Sometimes I just want to put my phone down and pretend it doesn't exist but that would be impossible with another device on my wrist constantly buzzing. I imagine there's a way to silence it or put it in DND mode like the phone?

I was going to order off Amazon but it was more expensive there. I guess they were running a promotion on VIOFO.com that didn't carry over to their store on Amazon.

I likely won't be able to install it until I get back from my trip at the end of April but hope to take photos and post my experience so others can learn from my mistakes :) Thanks for the advice on the fuse taps and all. There's a few audio shops nearby so I imagine once I start taking things apart and looking at it all I can just swing by there and get the pieces and parts I need.

So just wanted to update folks here.

These are the coiled lightning cables I ended up ordering (a 3' and a 6') and they work fine with both charging and Apple Carplay. They feel pretty good quality and coil/uncoil well. The 3' is the perfect length IMO as a driver as I can pull it up when I need it but there's not a lot of cable when it's just in the little cubby. The 6' seems a bit lengthy but I only plan on using it for a passenger who might be playing on their phone the whole trip.

This is the coiled "multi" cable I ordered so that if a passenger without an iPhone needs to charge their device they can (goes from USB-C to USB-C, Lightning, and Micro USB). It also works with both charging and Apple Carplay and seems like a well made cable.

I was able to measure and cut the screen protector and applied it to the infotainment. It doesn't look perfect but should do its job to keep the screen protected from scratches and hopefully be less full of fingerprints. It came with 3 in the pack and I cut these with scissors. I figure I'll try cutting another one with one of those straight edge machines as I'm sure someone at work has one somewhere and it might look a little more professional.

The dash cam is shipping from China so when it comes in I'll make a separate post about its installation and whatnot.

I ordered a tempered glass screen protector from Amazon (in hopes of cutting down on fingerprints, or at least not being worried about scratching the screen when I wipe them away with a microfiber) and it ended up being too tall for the display - ended up returning it. Thankfully, the dealership didn’t pull the plastic off the screen when they PDI’d it, so that still remains until I can find something that works.
Everything I found online that could work was for a device with a much wider screen so I couldn't go glass as I have no way to cut it. The infotainment screen is 12" wide but only 4.75" tall. That's why I had to find screen protectors for a 14" device because the diagonal measurements may have been 14" but it was only about 12.5" wide. I had to cut it almost in half for it not to be too tall.

After 2 days there were so many fingerprints on the screen it was driving me crazy. The car just attracts fingerprints. Every gloss black surface, full of dust and fingerprints. The gloss black frames around the windows on the outside, full of fingerprints from passengers shutting the doors. I'm hoping a screen protector does a better job at not picking up the fingerprints on the screen as I was tired of having to wipe it down every day. I know I need to get used to using my voice and the steering wheel controls but it's going to take me a while for that. I still take my damn keys out my pocket every time I approach the car to hit the door unlocks and to put the key in the ignition but I've only had it 9 days so far.

Makes sense. Those screen protectors could have oleophobic coatings. Does it affect the touch sensitivity of the screen at all?
No, touch screen works exactly the same as before and does have noticably fewer fingerprints today after applying it. I'll see in a few days if it's as bad as it was before and I'm sure a higher quality screen protector would do a better job I just figured what's $9 hurt to try?

If they don't make one to the right size in China to sell on Amazon after a while I'm tempted to get one of these in MXO: Clear or MXH 25% but $27 is kind of a high price to pay. I'd have to be damn sure to get all the lint and dust off the screen before applying because you only get one shot at not having dirt under the protector.
