I'll have you know, this thread inspired me to finally get some degreaser and vinyl polish to clean up the engine bay, it's too dark to take a pic now. I will post tomorrow though.. Even worse, I forgot to take a before pic

What type of paint are you using. I tried to pick up some dupli color plasti dip but they didn't sell that at Canadian Tire (only autoshop in my town) What else has been used before that works well? They basically has all the engine metal flame proof paints, and fabric/vynal paints. Will they work well? Or break down and order some plastic-dip online?

I used the Duplicolor Plastic Paint and it worked great. You can also use the high temp engine paints.

My red stuff is just Rustoleum plastic paint.

Thats great news! So just so I'm understanding this right. the high heat engine paint will also work on the plastic engine cover? Just do the typical prep. work? Do you just air dry the plastic? (any advice is appreciated)
