I was looking for an exhaust system for my i4 7th gen Accord, and not many people put an exhaust on it according to YouTube. There are like 2 or 3 videos of someone who put a new exhaust on their 7th gen. There are a lot of people who put a new exhaust on their i4 8th gen accords though. I know that they both have k24 engines in them, but I was wondering if anyone knows how different they are from each other. And if they both would make the same sound with the same upgraded exhaust.

For example, if someone put an OBX catback system on an i4 8th gen...would it sound the same if someone put the same OBX catback on their i4 7th gen?

No smart alec comments please.

Thanks in advance!

You are going to get a raspy Civic-like rice burner exhaust sound. Catback exhaust on a 4-cyl loses back pressure and you'll notice that your car will be slower at low RPM. The reason you see a lot of 4 bangers for 8th gen with catback exhaust is because they are all young kids.

And that's what I'm not going for lol. I want something a tad bit louder, but deep toned. I don't think I'd be able to accomplish that with my 4 cylinder. What about just welding a new magnaflow muffler on there leaving everything else stock?
