so yeah out of nowhere my cd player just tries to read a disc and says "mech error" nd when i try to eject it takes a while then just says "check eject"

any1 have this problem b4? y is the crap stuck now? ughhh help... lol

I had the same problem with my 4 door EX, All i did was reset the battery and worked again.

a few months ago i was doing clutch dumps lol and the car started to hop like crazy and the same thing happened it read mech error. i just waited a few days and it fixed itself, but yeah i would just take it to honda

Cd self fix

Same thing happened to the wife's car(08 EX-L). 4days later the disc spat out and the damm thing ran fine. The manual says some disc's don;t work well in the CD player, like Rw or R, this was a disc she made up. We don't use that form of disc anymore, and no more problems.

i disconnected my battery and nothing changed..still the stupid 'mech error' ...ill just take it to honda 2mr and c their wonderful response
