Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me out here.

The battery on my Accord died out. It is a new battery, installed in Jan this year. Due to work-from-home and COVID, I have been not taking it out as much and when I tried yesterday, it would not start. No stutter, nothing - absolute silence. I tired jump starting it with my CR-V and I make the connections as instructed (Positive of discharged battery first, positive of booster, negative of booster and finally to an engine block of discharged vehicle). When I make the last connection to engine block, the car alarm goes off.

What is the reason for that? How can I charge the battery without enabling the alarm? your tips are appreciated.

Regards,
Raj.
