Congrats! 9G touring is a beautiful car! As far as your question, not really (you’re not crazy lol). At least not to me. I was like that when my first Accord, the 06LX, was totaled years ago. Never thought I would ever shed a tear over a car but I did lol. And I’m really not an overly emotional man. I didn’t even cry in my grandma’s service when she passed even though I loved her dearly (and she did die in her 80’s). It was like that for me with the 9G when I traded in too. 🥹 I think part of it is the overall car ownership experience too and whatever experience you associate with it. If it’s overwhelmingly positive, it’s hard to see it being let go even if there’s a good reason to let it go. This was why I didn’t sell my TL right away when I got my current car (even though I had thought about it). When I finally sold it recently to a family friend, I was actually happy to see it in the hands of an owner that actually loved the car and would use it daily for commute (yes, I told them the poor in town mpg but they still wanted it). I didn’t have to sell it, but I’m happy I did. It’s not necessarily the price either (I cut the friend a sweet deal), but seeing someone who’s going to take care of it, drive it daily rather than have it sit most of the time and only driven occasionally every week, makes me happy. I think if you think of it that way, you’ll feel much better! 😉
