I have a 2010 v6 accord with 23k miles and have had to replace the air cleaner 4 times already. Filter is black dirty over 50% all highway miles.Has anyone else experienced this and what gives?

Definitely not me! you replaced it by yourself or mechanic does it for you? Well nothing gives up here its just the outside air being really dirty for you I guess :thumbsdow

You should have replaced it once at the most. There's either a problem there or you like seeing clean filters.

Sounds like a K&N filter might be good in the interim until you fix your issue. Won't solve the source, but as many times as you would have to clean it due to the "mystery black" will only help pay for it sooner.:thmsup:

What does your cabin air filter look like? If it is real dirty too then you must be driving through sooty areas. If it is clean then you've got an engine bay problem.
