anybody ever used them in their local area before? looks to be a chain/franchise... i know it can be very dependent on your local repair guy but just wanted to check on past experiences before i have them do their magic on my wheel.

Call around to some used car places including some Honda dealers. Many of them will have the wheels repaired by mobile wheel repair guys to spruce up the trade-ins. :thmsup:

thats the type of service this guy provides, in addition to taking the wheel and having it re-machined down to the base and applying a new coat across the entire surface so there's no difference what so ever, but you start approaching the cost of a new wheel for that

If they can fix it without removing the tire the service is usually much less expensive. As in $50 per wheel. See if he can do anything for that amount since like you mentioned the service can cost as much as a new wheel. Yelp review:

Son Tran. He's very good at what he does and prices are very reasonable. He'd be the first one I'd contact.

man, Onsite Wheel Recond looks legit... i'd be all over it if i wasnt located in Ventura County, i couldnt get down there M-F w/o taking a day off work

thanks for the Yelp! look up for the AWRS guy in Tustin, thats definitely not who im using... the AWRS guy i'm going through is based out of Santa Barbara... no Yelp! reviews but i found him through references on other car sites with positive feedback

so got the repairs done this morning and couldnt be more pleased... i actually ran into someone else getting a wheel done on her 330i w/ M Sport wheels who had used this person before with positive results, so that was reassuring... $125 cash and took less than 2 hours, would definitely recommend if you're in the Ventura/Carpinteria/Santa Barbara area to use this guy

For stock wheels, look up this guy named Son Tran. He's the "Wheel Repair God" as recommended by many on club lexus.
