I4 Black Sedan Mod Thread....

So I can't resist... I decide to keep track of all my mods this way instead of individually posting them up.... it's only meant as constructive purposes... (no hating please!)

so I got my 2009 Sedan in April 2009, and I've added too many things to put them in signatures....

but first... a tribute to my old ride... a pass down from a sibling....

9006 6000k HID kit.....
at first i didn't know you have to go through the wheel fenders.... so it took me a while... but voila~

since I've done a retro to my headlights, this post is not really relevent...
so... I added a pic from another hobby of mine....

So this is what I was doing before starting my car mods... just thought I throw in another hobby of mine to share... the DIY for this model kit is also included in the older posts....

I added bunch of LEDs for interior lights.... (no pics taken yet)...

Door courtesy lights, dome lights, vanity mirror lights, glove compartment and license plate lights... various sources from VLED, JDMtoys and ebay sellers...

then I installed the ambient light kit that was on sale (50% of original price) and slapped on some new pedals...

im sorry, but there are only a few people on the board that need a build thread, and they are HEAVILY modified, and not with little add-ons that cost less than $100.

Sports Edition Wheels

A lot of ppl were wondering about G37 wheels on sedans... so this is the alternative to those who cannot afford them....

picked these guys up at South Bend, IN @ tirerack

Painted fogs

got an OEM style fog light kit....
not too many I4 sedan owners actually got these, so this is for those who are considering....

any instructions that collegehill honda tells you to do is quite helpful... but i'd recommend using a dremel instead of a handsaw... and use an even smaller drill bit to make your pilot/finishing holes that just fit the screws the kit provided...

and FYI, i painted the fogs to match the car

havn't installed the H11 6000k HID in them... using the ballast for my projector retrofit.... (hence the "big" mod)

decklip spoiler

for those who wanted to get ebay decklips, i suggest you don't.....

i got one from ebay that was poorly painted, and they don't give you a new spring either... so the trunk hardly opens anymore....

but anyways, majestic honda sells them around $220 USD painted with the spring... do go OEM...

projector retrofit...

for this... this is still a work in progress.... have a few ideas which i'm currently building a circuit w/ a friend....

so this is my set up... it is very very similar to Fongaroos... so all credit goes to him...

here's his original thread:
http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28691

I got a pair of bi-xenon projectors from theretrofitsource.... including the following which are needed to complete the setup....

a) bi-xenon clear lens projector from Infiniti FX35
b) D2S adaptor
c) relay harness (not really, but just to be safe of voltage changes)
d) D2S bulbs
e) shrouds (which i used dollar store doggie bowls)

Original Fongaroo's idea are as follows:
1) wiretap the 9005 harness to the solenoid to activate it
2) removed signal bulb cover
3) tinted/sprayed side marker with niteshades
4) black out chrome housing

My current ideas are same as above with the addition:
a) halo rings on projector + high beam rims
b) fix up outer rims and the cut inner rims of doggy bowl with edge guards
c) black out side reflector and replace with black reflective tape
d) deck out side reflector bowl to LED strips and hardwire amber LED strips to go with front signal (as a side marker on the headlights)
e) chrome front signal bulbs

Currently, i've taken out the lens from the headlights and made the doggy shrouds.... kinda chickening out on cutting the reflector bowl to house the projector... so in the mean time, i'm just making the circuits for the side marker and actually making the halo rings with curtain rods....

will post some pics when i have more work done on it....

Nice! I always wanted to know how the SE-14s looked on the Accord compared to the actual G37 rims. It's too bad they only go up to 18" though :(
