Better traction in snowy or icy conditions. Better handling when you turn.
Asking "why?" not as in "why would you want an awd car", but rather "why go the trouble of converting a perfectly fine FF car to AWD when you can just go out and buy a perfectly fine AWD car with factory warranty for less money and no trouble"

It can be done. There are AWD conversion kits for Civics. I have seen it done. Conceivably you can find a donor Acura, or better yet a Crosstour and transplant the transfer case and rear dif (or just buy a used Crosstour transfer case) and have a fun Sunday afternoon.

But why? (One acceptable answer could be: "my accord produces 800hp, and FF layout is not enough to put down all that power on the road")

Speaking for snow and ice: AWD will help acceleration in straight line, but will do absolutely nothing to help stop or turn. If anything, the added mass will work against you when you try to stop or change direction. If you want better traction in snow, get snow tires. Seriously. And none of that "all season" nonsense. There is no such thing as all season tire, it only means it sucks all season. Get snow tires for winter.

Exactly, get an 8th Gen Accord-based Crosstour with AWD and impress your ladyfriends. Wish granted!
