Hey guys.
First rain storm since I've had the Accord, and it became obvious why visors are a near necessity for 7th gens.
It seems to me that in channel rain guards would be a better choice than the stick-on kind (correct me if I am wrong here) but I don't know if I want to spend the $100 plus shipping for the weather tech visors, and I don't quite trust the $20 ebay specials.
The AVS ones seem like a good middle ground.
Anyone have these? How is the quality/fitment?

I slapped the 20$ ones on my coupe and had no issues. The double sided tape was crap so I peeled it off and used my own 3m tape instead, but other than that its just a hunk of plastic.

Thank you for the response.
I guess it is just a hunk of plastic, I was thinking maybe the gauge was different or something.
I need to start checking out more cars that have them installed so I can see how much of a difference there is between the stick-on vs in channel ones.

I actually just saw a maxima with a set of the AVS in channel ones that for some reason where stuck on outside the channel, and looked like pure doo-doo.

used to have the in channel ones i bought on amazon. ive personally had a problem with my windows rolling all the way up. maybe it was because it was winter when i tried to install it and my window channels werent very ply-able. now, im using mugen replicas i got off ebay, those are stick ons. so far no problems yet.

I bought the weathertech in channel ones for my coupe. They would not stay on! I did everything right during the install but several times they came completely out overnight while my car was just sitting there. I am not sure if its just an issue of the huge coupe doors, maybe the smaller window channels on the sedan are fine. But if i were to know this going in I would have bought cheap tape on visors.

Do the inchannel ones scratch the top of your window because you are now removing the soft rubber that normally holds the window to hard plastic. If you get dirt or debris up there I can see that being a problem.

I think the stick on ones look just fine as long as you mount them properly AND you dont have chrome trim. If a car has chrome trim around the windows, it then looks dumb to cover it in one section with the black visors. This is the only time I would use the in channel ones so that you can keep the aesthetics flowing like stock.

Thanks for all the responses people!
I agree 100% with the in channel ones looking better, especially with the chrome trim. (which I am thinking about blacking out anyway)

My first thought was OEM, but the part has been discontinued, and I don't know how hard it would be to track a set down.

I have been checking out every car I see with visors, and while some people seem to do a much better job with installation than others, alot of the stick on ones just look cheap.

I will most likely go with the AVS in channel ones, and will have to keep my fingers crossed that I don't have any issues with them falling out. Hopefully we get a few more warm days before winter sets in, as I really do not want to wait until spring to install these, and it seems like most of the negative stories/reviews that I have read are associated with cold-weather installation.

Thank you!
Not to go off topic in my own thread, but I just saw your response in the for sale thread, and that is basically the same drop I was thinking of...now seeing your picture pretty much confirms it:thmsup:
I guess no need for a camber kit lol.
I will keep an eye out for you on the streets though.
