Anybody tried one of these yet?

http://www.proclipusa.com/

They are quite pricey, but the dash mount intrigues me, console mount is too far of a reach. Seems to be an ideal position and NO DRILLING!

yeah, had a kuda in my TL and it looked great
those are kinda cheap/tacky looking imo...and the dash one kinda blocks the display

I don't think it'll block the display much at all. I held my NUVI 650 up in the position the mount would place it, and in my normal seating position, I could see the entire display. Might have lost half the left HVAC temp display, but nothing more.

What I find most appealing is no drilling, and more importantly, no disassembly of any dash parts at all.

The KUDA mount instructions (for 07 accord) require removing "this" and bending "that" and the price is way higher.

my TL's required nothing mor than sliding into place
That's TL. I was reading their accord instructions. Granted it was for an 07, not an 08, but.....

I'm using the Proclip '08 Accord pillar mount for my Garmin 760 GPS. I think it's a better location than the dash mount because it doesn't block anything, and the console mount gets in the way of the passenger's legs. This is the second vehicle in which I've used a Proclip mount and I've always been happy with their products. As for whether it looks "cheap" or "tacky", I suppose that would depend a lot on personal taste and viewpoint. I can say that the build quality is excellent and they are very sturdy.

Pillar mount???? Where's that on their website?? I don't remember one. Maybe I didn't look close enough.

Just figured out why. The pillar mount is for the coupe's... Are the A pillars that much different between the coupes and sedans?

i dont thinks so
and i didnt mean the werent sturdy, i just didnt care for the look (ntm im looking at crappy photos)

Piller mount? Wouldn't that interfere with side airbag deployment?

I would imagine that could be quite dangerous and defeat the very purpose of an airbag which is to supplement the seat belts. It could potentially pop off and get wedged between the driver's forehead and the air bag...

I finally got a Proclip system and got it mounted up today!! :D

Just got tired of waiting for Kuda to come up with something. Multiple emails didn't yield much in the way of pricing or instructions to read to see how much disassembly would be involved (disassembly seems to be typical with Kuda mounts).

This thing is great! No disassembly of anything, fit and finish is PERFECT! The mount has two small areas of two sided tape at each end, but the test fit was so good and firm I didn't even peel the tape covering!!

I took several pictures (unfortunately with a phone cam), and brightened them up a little in hopes everuthing can be seen clearly.

I had thought about the A pillar mount, so to see what it would be like I mounted the garmin over there on it's suction cup mount. Nice place, but I'm not realy handy left handed, so decided the center mount was the way to go.

First picture is a general view.

Second picture is a side view for a better look at the mount.

Third picture is a close up view of what I see from the driver's seat.

Fourth picture has the camera back about where my eyes are while driving to show that nothing is blocked.

Fifth picture is just another closeup of the mounting system (2 part system) Mount for the car and mount for the device.

I've already got some creative ideas on hiding the power cord better!!!
