So, I’m wanting to update my 06 accord and have some pretty good ideas.. one of em being to convert my manual headlights to auto light sensing headlights.
Right now with my limited knowledge, it doesn’t seem too hard. Strip the wires from a car with auto headlights and hook em up on mine. Plug in the laptop and flash the ecu to accept this update.
(Of course I know it’s definitely not this easy, I just boiled down the details)
Any thoughts m’friends?

I don't think that will work. The headlights are still pretty much completely manual on this car, and depending on what engine you have, the ECU is impossible to flash, not that the ECU has any influence over your headlights anyway.

There exist automatic headlight conversions, but they involve tapping into the wiring and completely replacing the stock headlight controls.

Reprogramming the ECU isn't necessary. I imagine all you need to di is replace the current headlight switch with a light sensor.

There are plenty of aftermarket kits to convert your headlights to an automatic.

The lights are controlled by the light control module.
