I was thinking of getting viper too, but would the original key be the same if viper is installed?

Never a bad idea to beef up security. Theft can happen, certain areas more than others.

No joke, The Club works as a deterrent. Just a pain to put on and off.

Care to elaborate?
Well an aftermarket alarm system will do if equipped properly

1:roll all windows up and down and open and close sunroof by remote
2: anti car jacking feature
3: inside motion sensor
One-mile range color remote, using 900 MHz Spread Spectrum Technology (SST)
A brand new user interface, for the first time utilizing the patented Menu Wheel
custom animations, to confirm user commands and illustrate system events, on a 128 x 128 pixel Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) high contrast panel, with 262K and 65K full colors, and a wide 160° viewing angle, employing an anti-glare polarizer for enhanced daylight visibility
The OLED display panel on the Clifford Responder HD color remote
and on and on

In addition some aftermarket alarms have...

glass breakage sensors
glass impact sensors
hood sensor
trunk sensor
battery backup (battery can't be cut to disable)
GPS tracking
and many more

The truth about all automobile security systems is that the false alarms have become so common that no one pays any attention. As for GPS tracking why would you want to find the wreckage or the stripped remains of your car. That's what insurance is designed for.

Some good ideas are to park in well lighted areas and don't leave anything in sight in the car. Why have a Club? How can a thief hot wire the car with the igniton immobilizer?

However, if it makes you feel better go for it.

Immobiliser is not good enough protection see here:

Also you will pay less for insurance if you have GPS tracking system.
If the crooks want your car they are going to get it regardless of what you do. They can pull a tow truck up to your car and just load it up and away it goes. I am not sure about how much reduction in your premium for having a better security system.

The crooks know how to disable GPS trackers. If it makes you feel better to upgrade or to add to your car then go for it.

I also heard that the factory alarm has a fuel pump cut off. Even then, like someone else had mentioned, a thief could easily tow the car if they want it bad enough.
