My bluetooth voice navigation for google map on iphone 5s doesn't work whenever the phone is pluggin into the USB port of the car. The voice navigation doesn't even play sounds from the phone and car speaker. Anyone has the similar problem. How would I fix it? Thank you.

Is the phone connected via Bluetooth?

Google and Apple maps audio will automatically transmit via BT if connected. Turn off BT, all audio will thru AUX. Or stream via BT connection.

My '11 Pilot Touring w/honda link does this. If I was using the Maps, all audio would cut into the Hondalink and resume normal audio after the announcement. Kind of annoying, but allowed me to set directions via Siri and not mess with the Nav while driving

so you have iPhone 5S which came out after the 2013 Accord and you're expecting the technology suppose to work each other? I don't think Apple would do functional testing on everything that their phone can be connected to.

Plus your phone speaker is loud enough, do you really need it to readout on all speakers?

It's a USB connection...not exactly cutting edge technology that Apple would have to test. It should work. Bluetooth must be superceding the USB connection. And the phone speaker is not at all loud enough if you're traveling at highway speeds and/or listening to any music.

Is there a way to get turn by turn voice guidance to come through the car's speakers WITHOUT you having to be on the "bluetooth" source? Its kinda silly that you cant listen to radio or XM AND get voice guidance at the same time (at least not on my android setup).

Android voice guidance does not work when connected to blue tooth

I recently got a Honda Accord EX 2014. The problem I have is, the voice guidance (turn-by-turn directions) system on my (or my wife's) Android phone does not work whenever we connect the phone to the car (via Bluetooth). If I turn off blue tooth on my phone, the voice guidance comes back on the phone, but if I turn it back on again, the phone goes mute. The maps and GPS etc all work, but I can't hear the directions any more :-(

Anyone else having this problem or know a solution to this? Greatly appreciate your help.
