I have 1996 Accord with manual transmission. Breaks started drifting down after stopping. No fluid leaks at wheels, etc. Replaced master cylinder with new one from Checker Auto. Works good but now have a loud high pitched noise, almost like a worn brake pad noise but pads are still good, which only happens when hitting the brakes fast and hard. The noise continues for several seconds after the car has stopped, then disappears. Anyone have any idea what it can be? Maybe a bad new brake master cylinder? At first it sounded like it came from the rear of the car and then it sounded like it came from the front. We haven't yet been able to place where it comes from.

That sounds like whistling, a small vaccum leak? Perhaps show it to the place you bought the part from, assuming you bought it locally.......
