Hi all, I recently went from my 2007 civic hybrid with halogen dull yellow lights to my new 2021 accord hybrid with the bright white LEDs. Lights are nice and bright and I really appreciate them compared to what I’m used to, but now with the time change, I find that I am regularly getting people driving in the opposite direction flashing me with their high beams. I’m definitely not using high beams and will flash them back just to let them know I’m not running them. Does anyone else experience this? Is it possible the settings from the factory could be aimed too high?

I had the same thing when I bought my 2018 Camry. It's possible, look up a headlight aim chart and see if that's the case. If it is, you can try adjusting it yourself. Also, do you carry a lot of stuff in the trunk frequently?

Empty trunk other than trunk liner for moi and seldom anything other a jacket or such on the back seat. I get flashed once or twice a week in my '21 Hybrid Touring.. Was the same with my '20 Accord Turbo Touring with a slightly different lighting configuration. These new fangled car headlights just appear brighter and they are definitely "beamier" than the old days. It isn't just Accords, the Audis I see are pretty bad and Ford and GM trucks are just obnoxious.

Driving with fog lights on seems to cut down the number of "flashers". Maybe. Most likely because they know you can run high beams with fog lights.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, nothing in the trunk or back for me either that would cause the front end to rise. Good idea on the fog lights. I totally get why I get flashed. Coming from the duller halogens and competing to light the road with the newer bright LEDs coming my way was annoying

Some of these focused beam LED lights are very bright to oncoming drivers. I live in a are with a lot of hills, which just makes it worse. If a car with focused beams head lights is coming at me in a uphill direction it's blinding.

You need to re-aim your headlights.
I'm not quite sure why it would come from the factory aimed high. I agree, I think the lights just are uncomfortably bright at this point. Last night was the most laughable experience on the way home. I was at a light at a 4 way intersection and the guy across from the intersection approached the light and flashed me. (his lights were pretty bright too). So I flashed him back to let him know I wasn't high beaming him. Then he just left his high beams on the whole time I was waiting at the light. I flashed a couple more times to try and point out it wasn't my high beams. In the end I left my high beams on as well..... kind a prick move, but he kind of deserved it too. Maybe I'll try and see if I can lower the aim a bit...

Those trucks with their headlights already 5' high up in the air, when they pull up behind my car at a red light, inside the cabin I hear the angels singing hallelujah

I just wish more people knew about the fogs and high beams…..
