Hi all,

I had a P2647 code and replaced the VTEC solenoid (so far, so good).

Unfortunately, however, while doing so I tore a wire. It is the wire that connects to the boot circled in the image below (from Practical Mechanic). Does anyone know what this wire is for? So far, the car has been running fine.

Thanks

That's the switch for the low oil pressure warning light in the gauge cluster.

Thanks! It seems like the wire pulled out where it was crimped to the oil pressure switch connector... should be able to just reattach/crimp the wire back.
