Anyone else getting a single buzz sound when you first hit 20mph on a cold start? I have a 2014 accord EXL-Navi. I never noticed it before or it just started happening. It also started happening on my sisters 2012 sentra at 30mph on cold start but that one is much more aggressive then the accord which you can barely hear. On the sentra you can feel it on the gas pedal also, im thinking its a CVT thing.

During the total drive, after you hear the buzz at 20 mph the first time, do you ever hear it again?
Does it sound like a motor whirring?

ABS system testing itself.

It does this upon first startup or while driving.

Mine has never done that, it must be a Navi thing since I don't have the navigation system. :nuts:

Is ECON on or off when you hear the noise? Have you tried it both ways?

As miker said its the ABS/VSA doing a check/test. Try spinning your tires in the snow, you will hear the same sound when the VSA kicks in.

I feel mine on cold days, in ECON mode.. I think it is just vibration from that particular speed, or RPM during cold weather, never happened during the summer or fall for me.

Thats what the nissan dealership said also, the noise only happens once until the next cold start! Thanks for the answer! I can stop worrying about that now lol

'99 Civic does the same thing but much louder. Can barely hear it on the Accord. (ABS check).

ABS test, does it every time I start up on my 2014 CVT. Did it on my 2003 manual Accord. Also did it very loudly on a Volvo 850 manual.

mine Acura RDX starting this same thing. After each startup a single like five second buzz at exactly 20 mph. Just wondering if you figured out what it was?
