So my 08 accord key wont unlock or lock with the buttons. I tried reprogramming but no luck. Does any one know if i can just buy the little green thing inside the shell. I changed the key battery .

I don't know if you can buy that part separately, but the module which reacts to the key fob signal is part of the driver's side window switch. There's a possibility that will be your problem.

If you have 2 keys check to see if the other remote is working. There are 3 parts to the key.

1. Key Fob
2. The key itself
3. Transponder for the imobilizer.

You have to reuse the imobilizer chip and the key if you replace the Key Fob as an assembly.

I would buy a new Key Fob, they are relatively cheap and easy to reprogram to the car.
