I have a 2000 Accord sedan, auto trans, that will start to shutter under the following conditions: trans selector in D4, 1750rpm, 45 to 50mph. It also can happen around 20mph at 1500rpm. There is no power loss and the EGR system has been verified as clean and functional. This does not happen in any other selector position. No codes are being thrown, no check engine light. The RPM gauge does not bounce when this happens either. It sometimes feels like the car is going to shake itself apart if I don't either take my foot off the throttle or give it enough throttle where it torques-up. Usually happens at a steady even throttle. Local mechanic can't find anything wrong. Has anyone else experienced the same thing or any advise as to what to look for? Thanks in advance!!

Hmmm... did not think of that one. I will definitely check. It would seem kinda strange that it only happens within a certain RPM and MPH range and only in D4. I can make it happen as described 99 out of 100 times. Thanks! I will post back what I find on the motor mount.

I'm not sure about Honda, but bad gas from a specific gas station caused my Buick temporarily injector sieze. It wouldn't even register a code unless you stomped it. So don't be suprised. Misfire sensor's (at least on the buick's 3.1) are not that sensitive.

Fredsvt - It has the 4cyl VTEC (F23A1). I bought the car last December with a fresh transmission rebuild, so the fluid is less than a year old. Fluid color is still bright red and smells new with no metal flakes (thankfully). It came with a 1 year warranty which made the deal for me.

jjwink - My first choice of fuel has been Chevron mid grade or supreme with shell mid grade or VPower second. No pings, plenty of power and 30MPG highway with a not-so-light foot. I have run Lucas(TM) Upper Cylinder Treatment in it twice to "freshen" the injectors. When I bought it the plugs were clean and NO leaks ANYWHERE! :)

Again, thanks again for your time with this issue!
