I don't know if I'm the only one who gets annoyed by this but every time at night I start the car the brightness on the screen is super bright and so I have to press the Bright/Dim button and you have to do this every time you start the car at night.. Is there no way to automatically have it so the screen will automatically change its brightness such as certain time of the day or anything?

actaully, yes there is. I had the same probelm. What you have to do is turn the knob in the dash to the left while the headlights are on. When you do so, in the center screen. you will see kind of like 0's turning as you move the knob. To make the setting to automatic, the o's have to be set to anything but the highest setting.
I used the day/night button. I have them on my touring and other Hondas with Nav. It with the 1/4 moon and mini sun. U can toggle between day and night view on the fly.

Ok, I think that you are not adjusting the brightness of the screen in the center of the dash where the backup camera image appears. Your technique dims and brightens the screen in the center of the speedometer. That level can be adjusted for day or night which changes when the headlights are on or off.

Thanks ill give that a try!
Actually, the auto headlights operate independently of the nav screen. The headlights turn on and off based on the sensitivity you select in the menu. My headlights usually come on about 20 mins before my interior light dim.
