See attached photo.
I have a coolant leak on the bottom side of the circled item on the photo.
The heater hose runs into the circled item, but the leak doesn't appear to be from the hose. It feels like the coolant is coming from the connection of the 2 metal parts. Is there a gasket in between there that can be replaced?
Anyone know a part # or have any ideas?

Thermostat Housing

It was the thermostat housing.
I am attaching photos of what the gasket and housing looked like when i pulled them off.
I purchased a new housing, but I cannot figure out how to get the electrical connection piece out of the old housing without breaking it. It appears to be screwed in there but I don't want to put too puch pressure on it and break the plastic. Any thoughts?

Unscrew it? Get a wrench around the big nut and give it a twist. Not sure if that's how it comes out though. :dunno:

As previously stated sensor is threaded into the housing, so find a wrench or socket that fits the metal part and crank it out. The plastic part of the sensor does not separate from the metal part. You may have to bolt the old housing back on engine to get enough leverage to loosen the sensor.
