And let me add one more thingy... They didn't made one specific for Gen 8 Coupe, but get yourself a Honda trunk apron. They made them for '98-'02 Accord Coupes. I've used the same one in my '98 Coupe, '00 Coupe, and now in my '16 Coupe. It protects the rear bumper from scratches/scrapes when loading, especially with the higher "lift-over" that was mentioned above. And the apron is still in good shape after all these years.
Apron kit came with 2 "knobs" that mount on rear trunk liner. I drilled the 2 holes through the liner (positions marked by small indents in liner) and then released the liner to put nuts on knob shafts to tighten in place. Apron has elastic loops which fit over the knobs, making it easy to attach/remove.
When I got the '16 Coupe, the hole positions weren't marked on its liner and it looked more complicated to release the liner to mount the knobs. So, I used 3M Command "Frig Clips" instead. Easy to attach, and won't cause damage or leave holes if removed. The '16 trunk opening is ~2" narrower than the '98 or '00, but that just means the apron rides a little closer/higher on sides of the opening.
Let me know if you want me to measure the dimensions of my apron, but here's what it looks like on a Civic Hybrid. Mine even has the same day-glo yellow Honda stripe.
Note: Civic apron uses snaps on both sides, instead of loops/knobs, but still requires drilling holes. IMO, loops/knobs are better because they have a little more "give" without coming detached from the liner, and snaps won't work with 3M Command clips, if you go that route.
Happy "Couping"....
