I'm on the fence; pick up V6 EX-L Monday. Most of you think good option or not? Dealer wants $250. They gave me extra good trade-in value for my '06 330ci so wouldn't add this add for free. I rarely park in crowded parking lots and if jammed I park out on the edges & don't mind walking. Also, does it ruin the side profile or perhaps help and break it up a little?? Like to hear ur thoughts, thanks

I have them on my sedan and odyssey. I would not own a car without them.

I think they ruin the line of the side of the car. I wouldn't have them and I park out in the boon docks. Save your money. After you buy the car you can get accessories from:

I have them on my I4 Coupe. I was not thrilled with them and installed them myself but they grew on me. Yes they break the lines of the car. But the first ding you get is going to break the lines of the car also.

I do park as far away as I can get but sometimes I come out and sure enough someone has parked next to me. I figure for the same reason as me, they care about their car.

You just never know. And Dings are for life.

Bargain it down to $150 if you have your other basis covered. That's more or less the cost of the product so they lose nothing offering it to you. Takes very little time to install as it's already in the proper painted color of your car. If they wont go for it, bail and just buy the kit yourself.

I don't have them, but I've seen them on Accords around town and they don't look that bad.

The main thing about them and some other accessories is the functionality.

What looks worse, the molding or dings in the side of your car?

It's a personal choice, I wouldn't be dissuaded by the look alone.

Body moldings usually break up the lines of the vehicle because the molding do not follow in the same direction. Also, it disproportionately breaks up the space vertically because the designers did not intend for the moldings to be there - just looks too busy.

Nay, especially for $250

The 250 is a fair price for the parts installed.

The mouldings are a high quality product.

The color of the car has an effect on the appearence. I have them on my black sedan. With the black car they are unobtrusive. Hard to tell they are there.

Since they are adhesive attached, if you want you can remove them later the car is no worse off for having them on.

Like someone else said earlier, dings and dents really do hurt the look of the car.

A definite "NO" as far as looks are concerned & a maybe for function. It will probably stop the majority of dings, but may not SUV doors, especially the back doors that tend to have more of a "point" sticking out.

I assume this dealer has best prices on OEM accessories? I'm thinking of bra and outside car cover. Car will sit at times for 10 days or so in our driveway for our trips to our Condo in SC. Our Mustang Vert has dibs on the garage

You'll likely get answers from all the camps saying like em or not. I should receive mine on Wednesday along with the deck lid spoiler from Majestic Honda. Only time will tell as to how well they function. You're bound to get a few dings and a dent or two no matter where you park. It's just the first one's that hurt the most. Mine will go in the garage at home and just take my chances elsewhere. Parking in a location that will lessen your chances helps but always isn't going to do the job. My last vehicle fared pretty well in the long run but didn't go unscathed.
