Hi Guys,

My recently bought '21 Honda Accord Sport after a long rainy trip has the dark chrome strip which is on top of the grill, looking very stained kind of foggy. How can I clean it?

I used yesterday armor all, but the result its the same

I had luck with Autosol Chrome-Plated Plastic Polish removing some smudges from the chrome that I couldn’t remove with anything else.

Looking for tips on the web. I used a clay bar first then I mixed a solution of white vinegar with distilled water and apply it with a sponge, and at the end put some wax to protect it and to repell water, apparently it worked but you have to put some work to it, that type of bronze finish looks great but its kind of delicate with water it shows those non good looking water spots.🤦‍♂️

Cover it with black vinyl. I did that 6 months after I bought my 2018 touring 2.0t and now 5 years later it still looks like new.

I had issues with that strip early on - weird warping/bubbling. Thankfully, it was still under warranty, so the stealership replaced it for free. No problems, since.

I've done the chrome delete on my windows (and I love it), so if i had any new issues with the grill again, I'd probably just do the vinyl wrap like Jayhawk mentioned.

Fortunately I don't have this problem for whatever reason on my 19' Touring 2.0t but I think its because 21' and 22' switched some things up including the front chrome grill. On my chrome piece it seems to be easily wiped clean. The hardest is the bugs! Congrats on the 10th Gen man!

I have a 2020 Sport and feel your pain on trying to keep the chrome grille clean. I keep a clean cloth in the glove box for a quick wipe when needed. Not a permanent solution, but haven't found any products that help.
