Got a quick question......When u get a new car without the NAVI, can u request the dealer to order the NAVi and install it?? or do you need to get the car with it already installed......im considering a new Si:banana:

Another option.. You can always get a third party Nav system. There a lot of them which can be cheaper and better than the OEM.
Well the portable ones are definately better in the sense that they can be used in any vehicle. Last time I checked you can't just pull out the factory installed nav and go. Plus you don't take such a big depreciation hit when you buy a car without nav.could you give an example of one that is "cheaper and better"? I could give you examples of cheaper ones....I have a few different ones (tomtom, garmin, MS street&trips) but they aren't better, not even close. Not saying they don't exist, but I don't know what what ones are "cheaper and better".
Er.Plus you don't take such a big depreciation hit when you buy a car with nav.
Oops, that came out backwards. I meant to write that you take a bigger depreciation hit in purchasing a car with built in nav. Now that I edited my last comment, it makes a little more sense. Good catch.:thmsup:Er.
So you're saying a $2,000 nav option retains it's value better than not spending $2,000 at all?:dunno:
I see nav Accords for no more than $500-$800 more used, than their non-nav counterparts; similar condition, miles, year etc.
I think Honda's nav is excellent, but it's not going to make your car depreciate less than the same car without it IMO.
While the screen size is entirely too small, my wifes little garmin kicks the Honda navi software's ass.could you give an example of one that is "cheaper and better"? Boo. I want a new Honda!:lmao:well it makes sense that the depreciation hit is astronomical...the navi is, after all, just a computer. and nothing depreciates faster than a computer.
personally I'm also in the same boat...I'd like it when I trade in the 05 next year, but $2k extra is hard to stomach...especially when it can buy a 3.5L V6 instead of the I4.
Nah. I like my dad's job better. He works, I spend.:lmao:P.S - A job MIGHT help just a little bit.
