Hey, I learned something really interesting recently. I had to order a part for my car and they asked the 1st digit of my VIN.

The first character of my VIN is a "1" which means it is "American assembled" or whatever. If it is a "J" (or a letter) I believe that means it is foreign. Not sure if it applies to all accords but I have an 06 and just thought that was interesting to know a little history about our cars to know where it came from.

That rule was universal, and applies to basically any car made anywhere, Honda or not.
