will 93 octance cause damage to your engine like plug fouling?
yep.no..... just damage to your wallet....
Disconnecting the neg. battery cable for a few minutes will reprogram the ECU.Plus your ECU will "learn" to run on the premium and it'll take it a few tanks of regular to unlearn it, stick with regular.
Nope, higher octane fuel is just more resistant to detonation. The whole "cleaner burn" thing is a myth :thmsup:i actually pump 93 in my 4banger...and it seems to not burn as fast as the regular fuel...idunno. i guess ill just switch back to regular then...and i thought its better for the engine. keeps it cleaner..
huh?Do we say this with motor oil? Cheap is as good as a premuim brand....
If your car requires regular, put in regular. So here's a bit of a dilemma.I live in Utah and the standard octanes here a different. 85 octane for regular and 91 for premium. (The place i fill only has the two). Which would be better for overall performance. I know, i struggle a bit putting 85 octane in because i (two days ago) switched form driving a 2005 TL to this 2005 v6 Coupe. Any thoughts?
