You are referring to different items, right?

Capth4u are you referring to this: 2018 Honda Accord Outer Door Sill Protector - 08F05-TVA-100

I've been wondering if there is a cheaper non Honda option myself. The snow is already destroying my front seat area.

Are you referring to 2018 Honda Accord Deep Black Illuminated Door Step Garnish - 08E12-TVA-110A

These each protect different parts of the car, right? I've been eyeing the lighted door garnish. Makes the car look more lux. But I was thinking of trying to find a cheaper door sill protector since I've already spent more than I wanted on this car this month lol.

I added the door sills and they look nice. The Accord letters light up pretty brightly and give a nice upscale look. The rear do not light up but have the Accord with the metal look.

I've had cars with lighted door sill protectors (a Lexus and an Infiniti), but they're really just there for looks. I was more paranoid about damaging the protectors than I would have been about the door sills themselves. They get dirty the same as the door sills would, and the sills around the protectors still get dirty. They don't really seem to protect from dents or anything else that could happen, so I see no point in having them.

They're about as useful as a spoiler on an Accord.

Probably less, because you only see the door sills when you open the door :smile

The metal ones suck. Theyre made of thin aluminum so theyll scratch and get dented.

Anyone installed the non-illuminated door sill protectors sold on ebay like this one?

Looks like a great deal for around $40. With the all the rubber seal around the door, I'm a bit worried about the fit though. Does anyone think the ebay ones would be too thick?
I bought these about a week and half ago and installed them today. For $30 it’s a pretty good deal. Looks great and feels solid.

For installation I followed the OEM instruction (install 15/20mm from the trim gap).

Here you go. I used a $5 eBay coupon when I bough these.

Lots of Honda guys in LA huh? LOL

I personally used a roll of Xpel paint protection film on my car. I've had it on ever since the car had 300 miles on it. It has held up very well.

Anyone bought aftermarket door sills on eBay for their 2018 accord? Please post some pics. Like or not like?
I got mine installed non illuminated. Happy for it..

Thanks Kellyangelo27. Those are the ones I have been looking at on eBay. They also come in silver with black insert. I like them because they are a good size in length, especially in the rear and they wrap over the edge of the sills. This is important because often times, my wife and I would hit the edge rather than the top of the sills stepping into the car. Yours blend well with you modern metallic. I might go for the silver for my lunar silver. Thanks again for the pictures
