If you just want to hold it up, you can buy some twist pins off Amazon and pin the fabric back to the board it is supposed to stick to. You will be able to see the pins, yes, but if you place it well it can work great and not look too bad. It's very easy to do too, just poke through and twist.

It worked great until I found a shop that did an excellent job redoing the fabric for about $250.
