Anybody know if there is any preventative maintenance for this valve because if it is clogged, the CEL will be on. Thanks .

There are EGR cleaning kits that bolt in place of the valve and a cleaner is run through it. It's worthless if the port is already clogged. I have yet to try it on my car.

On both engines, you can just remove the plate on the intake and clean the ports.
