I have a intermittent issue, when I turn on my High beams I some time lose power and if I am at a stop and turn on high beams the car stales. This does not happen all the time but now when it happened I got a P0685 code .

2003 Accord EX 6 Cyl

any ideas?

Could be a faulty healight relay and or fuse. Check those first, if not see the thread below for some additional info.

P0685 ECM/PCM Power Relay Control Circuit Malfunction

- ECM power control circuit is open or shorted
- Failed ECM power relay
- Failed ECM


If its not the ecu, as it's been replaced, it's likely the relay where the issue lies.

also, check your battery terminals and connections. a lose feed line could cause power issues.
