Any way to enable this by default? I can't see any downside to having this on all the time. Great feature.

If activated, it turns off under a number of circumstances the most common will be turning the engine off, so it doesn't appear to be configurable to be on and stay on automatically.

I don't know about the design of this Accord. Things it seem stupid to me like the idle stop are on by default and can't be turned off permanently and things that make sense to be on by default like break hold and navigation beeps are on by default and can't be turned off.

I agree, I most always switch brake hold on for every drive.
I don't have idle stop, thankfully, if the engine is off, the hybrid system is seamless.
