Just got back from CES 2015 and got a little nugget from the Escort Radar booth. Prices for a few of the radars puts it below what other front page deals have been. Looks like shipping is free for the radars and the code works on accessories as well (might not include free shipping)

40% off with promo code: CES15. I have confirmed that it's working on a few of their radars so far! Product page: https://www.escortradar.com/products.php

Escort Passport MAX2 MSRP: 599.95 - 40% (239.98) = $359.97 + tax
Escort Passport MSRP: 349.95 - 40% (139.98) = $209.97 +tax
Escort RedLine MSRP: 499.95 - 40% (199.98) = $299.97 + tax
Escort Passport 9500 IX = 449.95 - 40% (179.98) = 269.97 + tax
Escort Passport 8500 X50 = 299.95 - 40% (119.98) = 179.97 + tax

These are about as low of prices I've seen for radar detectors for those who are interested!

Would you recommend Beltronics STi Magnum? It's pricey and still doing more research before I buy.

...Aaaand it's GONE.

Damn. Missed my chance for a RedLine. My 8500 X50 is starting to get old and picks up many more false positives nowadays.

yea, it is. Around Chicago, if you're going 55 even in the RHL you're going to cause a problem..I used to be Far Left...I drive more 'sensibly' in this car. Middle lane. Seems like around here RHL is 60...middle 65-70...left up to 80....

So true, and where the real problem comes in is when you get a fool that's driving 85-100, which of course necessitates him weaving across all lanes:dunno:

i have the passport max 2 and i love it! it has saved me from a number of times,i wasnt looking speed until it goes off and you have plenty of time to slow down. The Max2 out of the box is just as effective to the redline without having to go in and change the redlines settling. plus the max2 can connect to your phone.

hope this helps
