Just noticed today that my rear passenger window "chrome" trim is coming off slightly in the back. Is there a fix for this, or a way to replace the whole thing? I'm not even sure how this would come off like this.

Looks bent to me, not just the adhesive wearing off... But it can probably be stuck back down with more adhesive.

"From what the service manual says, if you remove the moldings you will have to replace them. I guess you can't remove them without screwing them up. And I checked the prices and it would cost a butt load of $$$ to replace all of them, especially if you have a 4 door."

Looked kind of bent to me also like someone tried to pull it off. Did BLCKFLSH say how to replace them? I didn't notice it before, but now that I know its there its all I can see.

Looking at majestic honda I don't see the part I would need. Anyone know?

EDIT:
Found the right section called Moulding.

Now gotta figure out how they come off.

That not a bad price, I was expecting more. For removing it I bet princess has a pdf out here somewhere, if not there are a lot of Honda Techs on the forum that can probably help you. HondaTechAV6 is one but he only gets on once a week or so.

When I saw that the service manual said to replace the moldings, if you remove them, then adding up what it would cost to replace all the moldings, $400+, I decided to work around them when I painted the car.

There is a screw holding the molding on the front edge, and there should be a clip at the end where it is loose. Do you see a clip pointing down near the loose end? If you push the molding down will it not stay down? If not, you might have to buy a new molding. I've never taken one off, and the service manual also says to remove the door panel first. The manual says you will bend the molding when you remove it. Good luck

Yes I do see what looks like a clip but no matter how hard I try to push it down it will not stay. Does taking off the door panel allow access to the screw? I've got no problem replacing the bent piece but can't figure out how it comes off.

Open the door all the way, then look on the inside of the door at the end near the front door. The manual says to pull the molding up from the inside, I guess that's why you have to remove the door panel. I wouldn't try prying it off from the outside. The molding has sharp edges, so wear gloves and try not to scratch the door etc. with the molding.

OK, I just got this from a experienced source. The bottom molding can be removed and reinstalled without damaging it. It seems the molding on the top is the one that is glued on, and you cannot remove it without damaging it. Sorry, I misunderstood the service manual I guess.

Mine has the same exact problem on the driver's side, and I cannot for the life of me get it to stay down.... It's so annoying. Will I need a new trim?

btw: The bent piece can be pulled upwards easily to take it off, specially since it's already out haha. I've taken mine out several times to try to get it to seat on that back end, no dice.
