When I am driving someone in the backseat the rear windows fog up pretty badly on the left and right side. What setting on the heat would be the best to get rid of the fog quickly?

Is there not a front windshield defog/defrost button on the 9th Gen? Hit that the A/C will engage, blower goes high speed, and airflow will be optimized to defog not only the windshield, but also the side windows.

You can then turn off the front windshield defog/defrost button.

Also, use an anti-fog glass cleaner.

Yes, A/C dries the air. When you press front window defrost it turns the A/C automatically anyways, so just used FRONT defrost or AUTO mode, both modes will also turn circulation OFF to bring fresh air inside. Every time you have circulation ON without A/C your windows will fog.

Yes there is, and that is exactly what I do. Also, I never got the point of using re-circulation mode....
