So being the untrained monkey that I am, I damaged the rounded A shaped piece that is in front of the side panel on center console, passenger side. Basically the PO said the ANC was disconnected, and I went in through that hole to reconnect it. Again, being the monkey I am, I tried to use a screw driver to help separate the panel from the console trim, and borked it up. I have a new part on order as my penance.

What I didnt know is that there is a screw in there, according to the diagrams. How do I get that bugger off [properly] so I can put in the new, undamaged part?

access is after removing center console

remove two silver plastic trim pieces. lift up starting at rear.

remove center console cover. start in armrest storage, lifting up evenly on each side. don't do this when cold. clips are white nylon.

three screws in storage

two screws in front corners (just in front of shifter) and two more in middle.

no worry, at least you're fixing it. i've seen more people that would just leave the broken panel there.
