Just got this email from a semi local dealer

Free 2-Year Unlimited Mileage Maintenance - So much more than just a couple of oil changes. It is Unlimited Miles for 2 years! (Everett, WA)

"Milage maintenance?"

I plan for my Accord to be my daily driver, but I know I'm only going to put 8k-10k miles on it a year.

With oil changes approx. 5k miles I'm wondering how much "savings" this would be?

I'm guessing that new(er) accord oil changes at the dealership run around $65.00 or so?

I'm assuming they won't honor oil changes before the maintenance minder says it's ready, so you're probably only going to have 2 oil changes done. Full synthetic changes at the local dealer is $45.

OK thanks. Not too much in actual savings I guess. Being this dealer is almost an hour away, its pretty much moot anyways.

2 years*12k miles a year: 24K miles.

That's about 3 oil changes only? 40*3. It's worth 120.

You would also get tire rotations in there but again not alot of value. Also you'll find the minder goes a lot longer then 5k without showing up. My oil life went well over 10k. I drive 30-40k a year tho lol

Cabin Filters too (I assume). I got one for $12.00. Dealers charge a lot to replace.

For some reason it feels like your knows when your warranty expires and decides to start giving your trouble once it expires. But with Honda thankfully I have not had any issues at all so I did not even bother buying warranty I feel like its just a way for the dealer to take some more money for you.

Not sure about the "savings" but you would be saving yourself some "headache" knowing your car will be covered for 2 years mileage maintenance.
