B1220 R/F Motor Potentiometer Shorted. Codes cleared and hasn’t come back on.

Recirculation button no longer lights up, HVAC blows cold and Auto function works except Auto button no longer lights up.

It’s 108 again in the Old West and I just use manual A/C to get around.

Get the Motor Fresh Recirclation motor 79351-TVE-H01 ?

That looks exactly like the recirculation door motor on my 2007 Accord. I bet they fail in the same way too. Just pop it open, wipe off the potentiometer tracks with rubbing alcohol, and reassemble it and I bet it'll work fine.

Updated 10-06. Found an ANC disconnect video and it shows how to remove the glove box. Heater blower motor video shows how to get under the kick panel.

The glove box lower 7mm bolts are behind little panels to pop down. No need to unlatch the glove box. Then the HVAC is accessible.

I got the new part yesterday and it’s mounted to the upper left of the HVAC cabin filter door. Although you could remove the bottom 7mm and swing the motor away to get the top 7mm, you probably wont get the top back in. So, the HVAC was removed and the new Motor Set, Fresh/Recirculating 79351-TVE-H01 installed. All the small motors are probably the same because this one has an arm snapped onto the shaft like the motor in the original post. Once in a while the recirculating/auto ac indicator lamps did come on. Codes cleared and haven’t returned.
