Light freeway traffic on a Sunday, and there it was in shiny black. Never saw one up close and I got to check it out from the rear, sides & front. Beautiful car, photos don't do it right. I didn't see what the trim level was, but whatever it was, I want one!!

I've had a chance to see several in person, but I just can't get myself to like the rear end design no matter how much I try. It's just not right. Different angles definitely paint wildly different pictures though.

Up until recently, I've been a detractor of the new Accord. But, like most other generations it has been growing on me. This past Friday while waiting around the dealer for about an hour and a half(vehicle getting serviced) I found myself really digging the new look. I kept circling the new Accord, sitting in the one in the showroom. I was ready to take one home! Thankfully, my texts and pictures of the vehicle that I sent to my wife were denied! At the end of the day it's a great car, but I'll stick with my current one for as long as it serves me well. There's always gonna be a shinier, newer vehicle out there that I want but don't need!

Interesting in that I was immediately smitten by the new look. I laid eyes on a red one back in March and did a double take (didn’t know what IT was). I saw the H emblem on the front and immediately went to the Honda website when I ended my shift at work. OH wow a hybrid, even better! It wasn’t but a few days later that I was at a dealer 20 miles away who sold msrp to look at one. Drove an urban gray Touring, their first, which was already marked down 500 dollars (they’re a volume dealer), placed a deposit on the second Touring allocated and took it home when it arrived 4/3.

A proper front grill/bumper, clean body sides devoid of fast and furious flame surfacing and a streamlined back end and tail light design, what is there not to like.

It’s one of the best looking Accords ever made IMO so that’s why I bought one. I don’t think the next gen Camry is going to look better so I decided to go with the Accord and not wait.

Initially, I was going for the Hybrid model, but the drivability and power seemed to be better on the 1.5T. I decided on the 1.5T. Mpg is slightly lower, but 29/city and 37/highway ain’t too shabby either.

Agree (obviously since I bought one)....conservative and classy looking, should age well, and just a great car to drive. Plenty of pep and smooth electric transmission. 12.3 inch infotainment works great, wireless Android and Carplay, nice bright LED headlights, lots of trunk and interior space.....the list goes on......

I’ll take my ‘blacked’ out ‘17 Sport!

The back end is one of my favorite things. Looks incredible at night. Looks like a BMW or Audi.

Why can't these designers, both Toyota and Honda, come up with their own fresh ideas? Why are they always going off other car manufacturer designs?

That being said, i like the rear-end ok, but the design that Honda has chosen for the front end is quite terrible! ugh!

The front and rear also look very Dodge Charger but that's OK by me. I always liked those except for the oversized cove in the sides. I would be curious to see what the front end would look like with the black panels under the headlights painted body color.
