Halogen Projector performance?

Is anyone currently using an aftermarket halogen projector setup? I just got done redoing my HID retro, and for some reason, I am still not happy. I have no idea what it is I am feeling. I think it's just that I simply don't trust my own skills. I feel like it's gonna break.

Anyways... The reason I asked was because as far as a halogen projector goes, how do they perform with an actual halogen bulb installed? I know my dad has halogen projectors on his 06 Hyundai Sonata, and they put out a nice beam with a nice cutoff while still maintaining good light output. I think I am mainly looking for reliability and a nice looking cut off while still retaining a lit road. I wanted to see if anyone has any pictures of the cut off from an aftermarket halogen projector.

I was looking at getting these:

http://www.protuninglab.com/cg03hoacaney1.html

I DO NOT want to put HID's in the halogen projector. I would like to run some Sylvania Ultras. I just want to see what they look like. Thank you for all your guys' help.

If you're disappointed with the mh1's, you'll be far more disappointed with those. Fair warning.

I am not disappointed with the MH1's at all. I love the output, the color, and everything. I just don't feel I have the reliability that I want. Everytime I drive it's a 60/40 feeling of "Holy... my lights are badass!" and "You know? something seems off. I am not sure I like these at all."

It's an odd feeling, trust me. It also doesn't help that this was a redo of the project and I still don't feel it came out right.

What I am looking for are pictures/video that show a cutoff of a halogen projector. I feel like I have seen so many variations that it might not even be helpful. I've seen some (like my dads) that have the exact same cutoff as the MH1's do. That's what I'm going for.

As far as selling my setup goes, I might be willing to, but only after I've installed a setup I am happy with. PM me.
PM sent.

Post nighttime pics of your cut-offs and color across the cut-offs and we'll tell you if it's good or not. more than likely it's all in your mind (no offense). You would feel far less "reliable" with those halogen projectors.

And I have to ask, what is not "reliable" about the MH1s in your opinion? You just said you love the "output, color, and everything". Are your shields getting stuck every single time or what? :dunno:

I mean it's starting to sound like you wouldn't even be happy with a TL or FXR bi-xenon setup

I don't feel like it's "sturdy" enough. I don't trust my retro skills. I don't have the solenoids hooked up. I prefer just to use the halogen high beam.

Here's a few pictures:

They looks pretty darn good to me, especially considering what they looked like before. It's a little odd how the color at the step looks to extend above the actual step/cut-off line though...may just be the camera picking up something differently. And the bulbs themselves might could use some slight adjustment to get the hotspots right where they need to be.

Looks great though. Why waste money on re-doing it again? :dunno: I've put about 12k miles on my set and have no issues at all with them...and still love them just as much as the first night I used them

I'll see. I don't know what what I want to do yet 100%. I was just getting an "idea" on what the halogen projectors looked like. Thanks for the positive feedback!
