I would like to get comments on the headlamp brightness on the EXL vs the Touring. The touring also has a 7 speaker stereo and would like comments on the EXL vs Touring regarding the sound systems. Thanks in advance.

EX-L and Touring both have the same 7 speaker stereo system.
Touring has LED headlights, so I assume it's going to be brighter than EX-L's halogen projectors.

I'm investigating the HID retrofit scenario since the headlamps now have halogen projectors (looks like they were reflectors in previous gen). It's possible an HID projector retrofit might be less daunting. The LEDs are nice if you want to dish out the money for the top trim, but being that the Touring production is more limited, negotiating price might be more limited. Of course, I say that and I got a local quote for a Touring that was almost at invoice (doh).

LED is indeed a better "bulb" in that there is no bulb to speak of compared to the more recent Xenon systems which have been around since the late '90s pioneered of course by MB and BMW.
BMW is skipping the newest LED headlight technology and going straight to laser (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emitted Radiation). They have developed laser headlights which will blow away all LED and other HID (Xenon) systems.
Using laser tracking, it can put a laser spot on a person, deer, etc 300 feet away and track the object as it crosses your path and project an HUD image. So while indeed LED is a better "bulb" than HID, I doubt any technology will ever surpass laser but I may be wrong, who knows what the future holds.
