Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket HUD? I really want one in my coupe! Any input would be great. Don't even know where to start and google isn't helping much.

There are a few available on Amazon. You can search "heads up display" there. Some are GPS-based, whereas others are OBD II-based. Mostly $100 or thereabouts, I think. Go check em out. I was thinking of buying one at one point.

Checked them out. The gps based is definitely not cool. All of these seem to plug into the cigarette lighter. Also not cool. Lol. I wanted something like the camaro has.

If none of the aftermarket solutions suit your taste then you're SOL. Honda wouldn't adopt that technology until it's 10 years old.

I thought that the OBD-II port was self-powered, but I could be wrong (an apparent problem is that some of those ports do not shut off power with the ignition). You could have your stereo shop hardwire the GPS units, if that works.

Haha. HUD has been around a looooong time.

I had HUD in my '90 240sx, and it was an option for a few years before that.

I'm curious, too. Don't you have to put your phone on top of the dash to project the image to the window?
