My 2013 Honda Accord Sport is having an issue and I need some advise please. My trunk pops open while I am driving. It happened twice over the last two weeks. I did not push the trunk release or hit the button on my FOB. The trunk just released by itself while I was driving. Yikes! Anyone had this happen to them? Is there a fix? :dunno:

It sounds like it thinks the KeyFob is in the trunk. Take it to the dealer sure they can fix it.

I have a similar issue, but it has never happened while driving. Mine opens up while parked. I always hang my keys when I walk into the house, so I know I'm not accidentally pressing the trunk button. I've gotten used to having to double check my trunk now to see if it's open as I walk into the house so I can try and get a measure of when it happens. My office window looks right out into my driveway at my car. I had my office window opened yesterday when I heard the trunk release go. I looked at the keys, and they were both on the wall. Seems to be getting interference from somewhere. I feel completely unsafe with this problem, but the dealer cannot find any issues.

Try to lock your trunk from inside the cabin next your glove compartment. See if it is still opens.

I too had this occurrence in my first few days of ownership.
I park in my garage, in the morning my trunk lid open.
It has happened twice. Then went away the same way it came.
dealer has no idea why it did that.

This just happened to me on my way home from work. Looked in the rear view mirror and saw the trunk lid bobbing up and down. Anyone have any updates?

Same here. Took to dealer and they could not duplicate. Waiting for it to happen again and then I will note my surroundings to make sure I have all facts to relay to dealer (if that will help).

I have a sport as well and this happened to me for the first time this past weekend. I woke up and went outside to find my trunk open and about a liter worth of water in it. The water was from the dew but I have no idea how my trunk open. Luckily it hasn't opened while driving yet

Had same trunk problem but happened while I was walking away from car. Trunk opened by itself and everytime I tried to close it kept opening back up. Took about 5 mins to get it closed and stay closed . Hope someone who went to dealer about this chimes in with a fix. Hopefully a software update or something simple
