Hide left menu when in Wireless Android Auto or Apple Carplay

Hello all,

Love my Touring so far, but this left menu being a permanent addition sucks.

Has anyone figured out how to hide it when AA or Carplay are running?

What happens is you have two navigation menus at the same time. This needlessly takes up the 12 inch screen and looks ridiculous.

I understand wanting to have a navigation menu, but let us hide it with a swipe gesture at the very least. There's a "Honda" icon in both AA and CarPlay to take us back to the home screen anyway.

Any thoughts are appreciated,

Thank you!

You can edit the bottom three ‘shortcuts’ in that left column.
press and hold the shortcut button to bring up the menu.
All is explained in the owners manual, but it really isn’t too difficult

I hope this helps.
P. S. While you cannot delete that whole left column, you can use that bit of real estate more effectively
I still can't figure out how to get rid of my annoyance on Android Auto, which is that on the maps page, it always starts up with two pre-populated location choices in 2 different lines below the search bar, and they are always just some random places I've been before. You have to press the little up arrow on the search bar to collapse them away. I don't see any setting to stop them from coming up every time

I have the same thing!!
carplay though. It would be nice to be able to just erase/delete the history somewhere.

I don't mind the history, I just don't need it to pop up two random guesses at places I may want to go to each time. I know it is not a big deal and one finger press collapses it, but just a bit random and pointless. That is the point of the search box or the audio search. It has never actually guessed correctly by the way.
